The Conference and School for Young Scientists High-temperature X-ray Diffraction and X-ray Diffraction of Nanomaterials (HTXRD-4) is devoted to exchange of new theoretical and practical data and techniques in the field of X-ray diffraction of powders, single crystals and nanomaterials. The conference will be held on October 19–21, 2020. Particular attention is paid to investigation of structural changes under high temperature, pressure and deformation.
In workshops there will be considered calculation methods for calculating the thermal expansion tensor by X-ray diffraction data, for analyzing complex non-standard structures, including modulated and nanostructures.
The tasks of the conference-school: to expand an amount of young scientists that use diffraction methods at conditions of variable thermodynamic parameters, to teach young scientists to techniques of HT- and HPXRD and software packages for calculating the main values of thermal expansion and baric compression tensor, 2D- and 3D-visualization of diffraction data, visualization of 2D- and 3D-figures of the tensor, determination of the orientation of the tensor axes in comparison with the crystal structure, etc.
- Evolution of crystal structures under conditions of variable t, p, x-parameters;
- Phase transitions and expansion/contraction under conditions of variable t, p, x-parameters by diffraction data;
- Crystallography of modulated and disordered structures;
- Physical properties of materials over a wide range of temperature and pressure
The program of the School is planned to hold 3 workshops. In practical classes, young scientists will work with modern software:
